What did Jesus mean when he said to Peter when thou art converted?
Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.” (John 21:17.) Finally Peter understood: “when thou art converted”—a condition carries with it a responsibility to do something with that conversion, to feed the sheep of the Savior.
“And now, if your joy will be great with one soul that you have brought unto me into the kingdom of my Father, how great will be your joy if you should bring many souls unto me!” (D&C 18:15–16).
How Great Thou Art (Psalm 145:1-3)
21 Verses 15 to 19. [15] When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you." He said to him, "Feed my lambs."
However, the Gospel of Peter was condemned as heretical by c. 200 AD for its alleged docetic elements.
After awkward introductions, Peter begins by telling them about the meaning of the vision God gave to him while on the roof praying in Joppa. Peter tells those listening the true meaning of his divine vision – “God has shown me that I should not call any person common or unclean.”

In this context Paul makes a proposition to the Philippians by asking them to make his joy complete. He's speaking from experience to say that even in suffering there is encouragement in Christ – He can be built up in remembering what Christ has done for him and even what Christ is going to do.
61:11]. Not only will there be material benefits and physical improvements, but the true blessings will be spiritual in that day. The phrase, 'I will rejoice in the Lord,' means that the joy would arise from the view of the faithfulness and perfections of JEHOVAH manifested in the redemption of his people.
For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Do It Today!
What does thou art mean in the Bible?
From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English thou art old-fashioned biblicala phrase meaning 'you are' → art.
Abraham 3:22–23.
Among the spirits or intelligences that Abraham saw were many “noble and great ones” (Abraham 3:22). God said that these noble and great spirits were good and that He would make them His rulers.

When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?" "Yes, Lord," he said, "you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my lambs."
John 14:15-31 GNT
“If you love me, you will obey my commandments. I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, who will stay with you forever.
The stories of Peter's mistakes often are in the forefront: when he lost faith and sank when walking on water toward Jesus in Matthew 14:22-33; and when Peter denies knowing Christ three times in John 18:15-27.
Peter, affirming his loyalty, his determination, his resolution, said that he would never deny. But the fear of men came upon him and the weakness of his flesh overtook him, and under the pressure of accusation, his resolution crumbled. Then, recognizing his wrong and weakness, “he went out, and wept.”
The Gospel of Mary is an early Christian text deemed unorthodox by the men who shaped the nascent Catholic church, was excluded from the canon, and was subsequently erased from the history of Christianity along with most narratives that demonstrated women's contributions to the early Christian movement.
Peter was one of the 12 Apostles of Jesus. Roman Catholic tradition holds that Jesus established St. Peter as the first pope (Matthew 16:18). Jesus also gave him “the keys of the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 16:19), which is why he is often depicted at the gates of heaven in art and popular culture.
Being a witness to the rebirth of Christ was enough for Peter to be a criterion of apostleship. Despite his weaknesses and doubts, Peter was the most important apostle from the beginning, and that is why Jesus designated him to be head of the apostles. He saw his potential for leadership and he acted on it.
Meaning:Rock; Stone. Peter is a masculine name originating in the Greek language meaning "rock" or "stone." This name is derived from the Greek version, Petros, which translates to "stone." This biblical name was most notably given to one of Jesus's apostles, Simon.
What are the three types of joy?
Q:- What are the three types of Joy (Ananda) ? Shri Ramakrishna:- There are three kinds of Ānanda, joy: the joy of worldly enjoyment, the joy of worship, and the Joy of Brahman.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” ( Galatians 5:22-23)
So what gives God joy? First as Greg Boyle says, God's joy is grounded in the wonder of divine love for us. Just as a parent finds joy in their child because of the deep and abiding love they have for their child, so God loves us. And this love bond is something that can never be broken.
“I Have Kept the Faith” How you choose to view a sunrise might be an indicator of how much you think like the Apostle Paul. Each day brings new roles and responsibilities.
Paul emphasized the gift of charity, which he characterized as being pure, unselfish love and concern for the well-being of others. He taught that charity should govern the exercise of all other spiritual gifts in the Church.
Look at these verse closely and you will see that Paul connects the secret of contentment with the strength he receives from Christ: “I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need” (4:12). Okay Paul, tell us. What is the secret? “I can do all things through him who strengthens me” (4:13).
We rejoice in the Lord despite our circumstances because rejoicing in God means that we take delight in him and not our circumstances. It means we are comforted by his name and his presence. It means that despite what I am going through, I know that I am loved, cared for, and watched over.
Christians rejoice in times of trial and suffering because doing so emulates the saving work of Jesus, who suffered and died before being raised from the dead and exalted to the right hand of the Father, where He rules over all things.
It is very similar to the words translated to “grace” and “joy.” This puts a whole new meaning on the word rejoice. It's not just “showing great joy or delight” (dictionary definition) in something but to experience God's grace.
Love. There can be no disputing that God values love. Jesus demonstrated his love for humanity in His life and death. He used the word, “love” over 50 times in just the book of John and God's love is mentioned hundreds of times throughout scripture.
What does God value most for us?
God Values Us Because He Is Love
The only reason God can love us even though we were his enemies is because his love is not based in us at all. He does not love us because of what we do. He loves us because of who he is, for “God is love” (1 John 4:8).
Generosity – This is the core Christian value of being kind and unselfish, especially with our money and time. Courage– The value is characterized by boldness and confidence. It's the opposite of fear. Love – Love is a fundamental characteristic of who God is and it's a value that is to describe His children as well.
The greeting comes from Luke 1:28; the angel's greeting at the Annunciation. It means that she is the highly favored by God, as is her son, Jesus.
The line, 'Oh Julius Caesar, thou art mighty yet,' is the single most important phrase in the entire play. It shows that what Brutus feared has come to be, and that even death has not stopped Caesar's power, but instead has increased it. In trying to avoid Caesar having too much power, Brutus has brought it about.
Psalm 97:9 King James Version (KJV)
For thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: Thou art exalted far above all gods.
In the Bible days, God Almighty made a choice among all the people He created and set them apart to execute the important purposes of His providence. That they were chosen to this high destiny was not on account of their extraordinary merits, but because God wanted to illustrate His glory to all mankind through them.
According to Arminianism, God won't save all because to do so would require that he intrude upon and override the rebellious will of many unbelievers. God so values the purported dignity of libertarian freedom that he chooses only to save those who believe, although it would be possible to save those who don't as well.
Being chosen is an invitation to participate.
It's an offer to step into a new, life-giving relationship — as well as God's work of transformation, in our own lives and others'.

1) The name John denotes God's grace and gift.
It implies that John had indeed been a blessing from God. Specifically, he had been a heaven-sent comfort for Jesus during His years of being with men. Like Jonathan to David, he had been a good friend to Him.
Did Peter repent after denying Jesus three times?
Following the arrest of Jesus, Peter denied knowing him three times, but after the third denial, he heard the rooster crow and recalled the prediction as Jesus turned to look at him. Peter then began to cry bitterly. This final incident is known as the Repentance of Peter.
9 Now when he was risen early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons. 10 She went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.
On December 27, we celebrate the Feast of Saint John, Apostle and Evangelist – the “disciple Jesus loved” (John 13:23). As the author of a Gospel account, three epistles, and the book of Revelation, John was not only a close friend of Jesus during his time, but a spiritual teacher for the ages.
The question is asked: “Did Judas go to heaven?” Yes, if going to heaven was a matter of good works. Judas had a lot of good works. He traveled with Christ for three years without a salary or any certain dwelling place. He was one of the 12 who helped Christ feed the multitude (Matthew 14) to name a few.
Gospel of Matthew
"Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?" He said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. ' This is the greatest and first commandment.
He said, “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.” Jesus also taught: “Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. “This is the first and great commandment.
From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English thou art old-fashioned biblicala phrase meaning 'you are' → art.
When the Day of Pentecost came, Peter was the one who stood and preached and 5,000 people were converted. There was this point when he confessed, “Christ is Lord,” and then he dropped to the depths of faith. He was brought back up and he became a great leader in the early church.
Conversion includes a change in behavior, but it goes beyond behavior; it is a change in our very nature. It is such a significant change that the Lord and His prophets refer to it as a rebirth, a change of heart, and a baptism of fire.
Jesus pronounced a blessing upon Peter and proclaimed Peter's answer as having been derived by divine inspiration. He then stated, “And I say also unto thee, Thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matt. 16:18).
How do I reply to how art thou?
To answer in the same style you'd need to say something like 'I am well, grant you mercy' (I'm fine, thanks).
In Latter-day Saint prayer tradition, the terms "thee" and "thou" are always and exclusively used to address God, as a mark of respect.
Anyone familiar with the Bible knows the word thou means "you." As the word worked its way from Old English, it varied a little in its subtext, from a plural referring to higher-ups, then to equals, and, around 1450, as a slightly insulting reference suggesting inferiority.
He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?" "Who are you, Lord?" Saul asked. "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting," he replied. "Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do."
The conversion of the apostle Paul marked a major turning point in the history of earliest Christianity. Paul was almost immediately convinced that faith in Jesus alone brought salvation, and that this did not require adherence to the Jewish law. That opened the door for Gentiles to enter the faith.
By the end of his story, Peter had exchanged independence for dependence, false courage for trust, and self-confidence for reliance on Christ. And on the Day of Pentecost, it was a transformed Peter that preached to the multitudes and saw 3,000 people give their lives to Christ.
Commit your life to Christ.
Accept what God has done by faith and receive salvation as a gift. And in response, commit your life to following Christ, and enter into a relationship with him through prayer, Bible reading, and worship.
God loves us in the midst of whatever our sins or imperfections may be, and he does not withhold his love from us. It is precisely from this love that the call to conversion arises.
Salvation is a conversion at the level of what people believe. And that conversion demands they know the truth and that the truth takes the place of the error they previously believed. The true Christian who has experienced the working of the Holy Spirit in regeneration will have a new perspective on truth.
The rock upon which Jesus would build his church could refer to Peter, since Jesus changed Peter's name to "petros" meaning "rock." This would make Peter the foundation of the church.
What does it mean when Jesus said upon this rock I will build my church?
In Matthew 16:18, Jesus said to Simon, “I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.” Roman Catholics interpret Matt. 16:18 to mean that Peter is the rock upon which the church is built.
Although the Church is a spiritual organism, it's also relational. The Church isn't a building but it is a gathered people.
